Nearly one-third of the total funds appropriated for economic development projects this fiscal year could wind up going to one company.
Defense contractor Northrop Grumman was already slated to receive $10.1 million in state taxpayer funds over six years for an expansion project in Melbourne when a panel of lawmakers voted unanimously to give the company another $20.8 million for a separate project in the same city to add as much as 1,800 jobs.
