The House passed HB 7023, an omnibus economic development package, on Thursday, by a vote of 104-13.
The bill contains a provision exempting new developments of less than 6,000 square feet from paying local transportation concurrency or impact fees imposed on developments that will bring more traffic and require local governments to add more roads and other infrastructure. Local governments could override the exemption, however, by a majority vote.
