Department of Economic Opportunity executive director Jesse Panuccio moved one step closer to confirmation Monday as he cleared the last Senate panel hurdle before reaching the floor for a final vote.
Members of the Senate Ethics and Elections Committee questioned his handling of the switch to CONNECT, a new unemployment system, that caused delays for thousands of out of work Floridians seeking weekly jobless benefits checks.
