A substantial expansion of one of Florida’s private school voucher programs is advancing in the state Legislature.
A House panel on Thursday voted for a bill that would increase the number of students eligible for the program, as well as make more money available for the private schools that accept the vouchers. The changes could make vouchers available to middle income families in the state.
