Last Updated Jan. 30, 2015: Senate District 6 sits beachside, southeast of the city of Jacksonville. It consists of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns counties and part of Volusia County. Republicans have a 149,000 to 116,000 voter registration over Democrats. Another 77,000 have no party affiliation. The community is 79 percent white, 12 percent black and 6 percent Hispanic with a median age of 45.
