Two companies are fighting to be the go-to vendor for state agencies to purchase pharmaceuticals two years after the Legislature mandated the contract be competitively bid.
Cooperative Services of Florida, a healthcare supply cooperative with members composed mostly of southwest Florida healthcare facilities, is challenging a decision by the Department of Management Services to award the contract to the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy, a group purchasing organization for government entities providing health care, and the existing vendor.
