Last Updated Feb. 6, 2015: Florida lawmakers clearly had no interest in medical marijuana during the 2013 legislative session; the measure legalizing the use of marijuana for medical reasons died without ever being discussed. However, the effort did pick up a major backer when attorney and Democratic fundraiser John Morgan announced at session’s end that he would lead a citizens’ ballot initiative to recognize marijuana as a form of medicine.
