Last update Aug. 7, 2014: Pari-mutuels are gambling operations that run horse or greyhound races, or jai alai matches. “Racinos,” as they’re sometimes known, supplement their gaming with poker card rooms and, in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, with slot machines. Pari-mutuels are regulated by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering.
