OIR makes staff changes
Jack McDermott has been appointed Director of Life & Health Product Review with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, succeeding Suzetta Furlong who has accepted a position with the Department of Management Services Division of State Group Insurance. McDermott has 16 years of insurance regulatory experience, and a decade of management experience in various OIR roles, most recently as the communications director. In his new role he will oversee a group of nearly 20 that handles the form and rate filings for the OIR in the life and health area. The change is effective Tuesday, Nov. 13.
