Both the House and Senate on Thursday moved to adopt nearly all of the vehicle and driver’s license fee reductions called for by Gov. Rick Scott in his budget request.
The Senate Appropriations Committee amended SB 156, expanding the amount of the fee reduction from $236 million per year to $395 million per year. The bill now heads to the Senate floor. The House Finance and Tax Subcommittee also introduced a proposed committee bill, FTSC 14-04, that’s nearly identical to the new Senate version.
